The whole concept of free website is born from civilization's lack of care in understanding what infrastructure should really be free. Sidewalks are a perfect example. They provide for the foot's freedom. With greedy ISP operators opting to keep business models as usual --- despite advances in bendable fiber; cheaper satellites and newer cellphone economies --- the last mile persists status quo; devoid of reliable two-way communication. Technologies would beat a path to the residential door if that upload speed was equal to the down. A personal cyberspace product would then be in everyone's hands, irrespective of any native intelligence for electronic architecture. National voting would be freed from monetary corruption. La la la. The list of productive relations with mother nature cannot be adequately listed if such a bottleneck were removed; because that list would be endless. In the meantime venture capitalists will lurk in the shadows enticing innocent self promoting citizens into their lairs. Gravestones are just as permanent as the backbone.
